Professional Background

In our treatment surveys patients regularly express their appreciation to Jeff for his high level of care and attention to detail. Orthodontics can be defined as the art and science of straightening teeth. Jeff is described by his patients as having treated them with the precision of a scientist and the passion of an artist. Dr Lipshatz completed his Dental Degree in 1984 and worked as a general Dentist for 5 years before undertaking full-time specialist training and obtaining his Masters in Orthodontics at Melbourne University. He has greatly enjoyed working as an Orthodontist since 1991 and has been practicing in Caulfield for most of that time.

Institutional Membership

Dr Lipshatz is immediate past President of The Australian Society of Orthodontists ( Vic Div) and has also qualified as a member of the prestigious Australian Orthodontic Board. He has tutored at the University of Melbourne and has been involved and lectured at continuing education courses. He is committed to furthering his own education by regularly attending conferences and seminars.

Dr Lipshatz also works as part of a multispecialty team treating Cleft palate patients at Monash Hospital.

Family and Personal Interests

On a personal level, Dr Lipshatz is married, lives locally and is the proud father of two sons and two daughters. He is a keen triathelete and very actively involved in community organisations. Other interests include reading, tennis, travelling and skiing.


Dr Lipshatz takes great pride in the beautiful smiles he creates, and enjoys staying in touch with his patients.

He and his team love receiving photos of his patients smiling at Deb Balls, graduations, weddings, holidays and all of lifes happy milestones. For him, its not just about perfectly aligned teeth, but the real SMILES for LIFE that his patients get to enjoy.
